When taking professional photos for a wedding, it is vital that you get shots that the newlyweds will be happy with. Photography is all about technique. There is no point in having all the expensive equipment if you do not know what angle or lighting you need to take a good quality photo.
When photographing a wedding you may want to talk to the bride and groom first and find out what sort of pictures they like. It may be that they want a lot of action shots so images taken without people posing for them or they may want the photos to be more formal.
When training in photography, it is often about trial and error until you have enough experience, but you do not want to do this at someone’s wedding so ideally you would want to tag along with another photographer and take some images to review.
