Black and White and Sepia photos

Black and white photos can look amazing and classic. Very often if you don’t like an image and then turn it in to black and white you will see it in a totally different way. Often when considering turning a photo in to black and white you will have to tweak the brightness and contacts of the image afterwards using photo editing software. This allows you to get the best out of your images.

Another option is sepia; this is where the photo is a reddish-brown colour associated particularly with monochrome photographs of the 19th and early 20th centuries. This again can give a photo a classic look and feel.  Many wedding photos and baby photos are transferred in either black and white or sepia and have that wow factor that sometimes you do not get from a colour image.

Why not try it yourself? Take a photo, upload it to your editing software and play around with the colours.
